Camps: Student Work
Below is a collection of projects and work by students in past spring and summer camps. All student work is shared with permission, please do not redistribute without consent.
3D Modeling and Animation (spring 2025)
This is one of our longest running and most popular camps. It is for students who love watching 3D animated movies and want to discover how to create their own. Using Blender, an open-source 3D modeling program, students learn the basics of 3D modeling and animation to produce their own short movie. Blender is the same software program used by the makers of Flow, the animated movie that won an Academy Award in 2025.
It is amazing what students learn from scratch in just 15 hours.
Here is a sample of their work from our 2025 spring break camp. The challenge was to use props from the Krusty Krab and/or Dabomb.
Adventures in Writing (summer 2023)
For students aged 9-12, in this camp students explored the art of writing. Together with other young, creative writers, students tried out new ways to write, choosing ideas and topics that are important to them, as you can see below. We have updated this camp to include an element of AI in 2025. See: Adventures in Writing with AI.
“The Malachite Apple” - A story, by Nika, about an evil forest and a legendary fruit, the Malachite Apple.
Read Nika’s story here.
“The Misjudgement of Aventura Arellano” - A story by Aurora, about a young girl and her abuela.

Puzzle Game Programming (2023, 2024)
Our longest running and most popular camp! For new and experienced coders alike, in this camp students create their own simple video games using PuzzleScript. They will learn about coding, how to design engaging games and algorithmic thinking skills. Everything will be playable from day one! We are currently offering this camp for summer 2025. Here are some puzzle games created by students in the last couple of years. Enjoy!

How mazing are you? - by Koen.
“The idea behind this game is to make you familiar with the game physics. It is also to work your mind and see how well you respond to hints or metahors.”
Lazer Dodger - by Orion.
“You want to take the crate to the end of the level (Finish line) and watch out for Lazers!!!”
Crate Delivery 1.4 - by Danie Yao.
“A war occurs from our countries Dablu (Blue) and the eeeeeevil Redeet (Red). However, Redeet is intercepting our supplies! We can’t let them get away with it! In order to sustain our war efforts, we must infiltrate into enemy lines and take our crates back! You lead the way to victory!”
Dungeon Escape - by Nika M.
“You are trapped in a dungeon and you must escape. Rules are in the game. Have Fun!”
Deconstructing TikTok (2022, 2021)
In this camp students explored the inner workings (and dangers) of online social media platforms and how companies use their information and data to create targeted online advertising and make money. Below are a few examples of student projects.
TikTok Ad - by Max.
A comical advertisement for TikTok, created on TikTok.
GC Channels Ad - by Gavin L.
A fun advertisement for the GC Channels YouTube channel.
TripAdvisor Ad - by Zahan B.
Advertisement for TripAdvisor. Terms $ Conditions Apply!
Highlighter Ad - by Shira.
“As I was thinking of an idea of what I could possibly advertise, I realized that the answer was right in front of me - highlighters! I tired to have my ad mimic the style of regular videos; similarly to the videos we analyzed in the camp.”
Data Privacy - by Shira.
“The idea of this TikTok was to illustrate how large cooperations “party” with the information they gather about you while surfing the web or watching TikTok. The shock at the end is real.”
